The ReStore

What is the ReStore?
(and why should I shop there?)

S/E Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore offers new and used building materials, furniture and home improvement items to the public at a fraction of their retail prices. All items in the ReStore are donated by local businesses and individuals, providing an environmentally safe and socially responsible way to keep materials out of the waste stream. It also provides financial support to S/E Habitat’s mission to eliminate poverty housing in our community.

How are we celebrating World Habitat Day?

More than 30 years ago, the United Nations General Assembly took an important step in promoting the idea that everyone deserves a decent place to live by declaring that the first Monday in October would be World Habitat Day.

As you may know, the Springfield/Eugene Habitat ReStore is closed on Mondays, so we are celebrating early this Saturday, September 30th.  We’ve got Fern Ridge Community Radio 92.5fm KOCF coming out for a live broadcast, a Kettle Corn Booth,  games where you can earn discounts towards the day’s purchase and drawings for special prizes (no purchase necessary).  So come on out and celebrate World Habitat day, supporting the ReStore helps provide financial support to S/E Habitat’s mission to eliminate poverty housing in our community.
